Printed graphic art from Vienna 2

On Monday, September 15th an exhibition Printed graphic art from Vienna 2 was open.

Our exhibition presents five Viennese artists of the middle generation, who decidedly co-determine the present discourse of printed graphic art in Vienna.Their impact mainly results from their artistic quality, their distinctive individual picture languages, and their presence in national and international exhibitions of printed graphic art. They all teach printed graphic art at Austrian art academies, imparting traditional graphic techniques as well as the developments in the media of digital age. They are contributors to Um:Druck, perodical for printed graphic art and visual culture, edited by Philipp Maurer. They establish internationals contacts, and cultivate individual and institutional friendships and co-operations, like exhibition projects, educational exchanges, symposia, andexchange portfolios, with Germany, Spain, Sweden, Great Britain, Poland, Slovenia, Serbia, Turkey, China, Japan, USA, to name only the most important partners of co-operation. They contribute to the high level of quality regarding the development of printed graphic art in Vienna and world-wide, as well as to the artistic-experimental research and scurtinizing of new topics and tendencies of the international visual culture, of the printed media, and the visual turn.

Michael Hedwig (1957, East Tyrol) teaches at the Academy of Fine arts, Vienna. Exhibitions in Austria, Germany, Italy, Hungaria, Turkey etc.
Georg Lebzelter (1966, Lower Austria) teaches at the New Design University St. Polten and the Hohere Graphische Lehr-und Versuchsanstalt (Graphic College) Vienna. Curator of International triennials for printed graphic art. Exhibitions in Austria, Spain, Germany, Poland, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Turkey etc.
Henriette Leinfellner (1962, Vienna) teaches at the University of Applied Arts, Vienna. Exhibitions in Austria, Germany, Spain, Bulgaria, Poland, Japan.
Michael Schneider(1967, Tyrol) teaches at the University of Applied Arts, Vienna, and is Adjunct Professor at the Art Department of Webster University, St. Lous, Missouri. Curator of exhibitions, promoter of symposia. Exhibitions in Austria, Germany, Hungaria, Bulgaria, Turkey, USA, Japan, China, etc.
Veronika Steiner(1968, Vienna) teaches at the University of Applied Arts, Vienna. Exhibitions in Austria, Germany, France, Poland etc.
